Aidenvironment is a non-profit consultancy organization based in Amsterdam and having a branch office in Asia based in Bogor. Currently, Aidenvironment Asia implements a project in Kalimantan.
One of the project component activities is analyzing spatial data of oil palm concessions development in West and Central Kalimantan. As well as strengthening the capacity of stakeholders in building development plan for GIS and remote sensing, particularly related to the oil palm development

Base
Bogor – West Java, with frequently travelling to West and Central Kalimantan

Main Tasks
- Collect and analyze primary and secondary geospatial data of Kalimantan
- Analyze and produce thematic maps,eg: land use, forest cover, topo,etc and manages in database system
- Make information and maps obtained accessible to team members, keeping them regularly up to date and informed
- Attend meetings, conferences, workshops related to the project
- Prepare strategy for strengthening the capacity and institution of local stakeholders in building the spatial development plan related to the oil palm development
- Project management (able to accept a project independently and in a team work environment, design methodology to complete project, and produce final product(s))
- Related duties assigned by the Project Leader
- Write reports and prepares presentations of geographical (spatial,statistic) analysis

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in relevant fields
- Bachelor Degree (S1) of Remote Sensing, Cartography, Geography, Forestry, Landscape Ecology, Environmental Science would be an advantage
- Strong ability to operate ESRI ArcGIS and ENVI/Ermapper and other relevant software is a must
- Ability to convey complex information with clarity
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Proficient in English, both oral and written is a plus
- Willing to travel to remote area

PURPOSE :

• Develops and maintains GIS system across all departments in the IndoMet Coal (IMC) in order to meet with the Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) of the Metallurgical Coal CSG.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES :

• Develops and maintains GIS system across all departments in the IndoMet Coal (IMC)
• Design, update geo database and synchronizing with the Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) of the Metallurgical Coal in Brisbane server.
• Supporting GIS to the community and land tenure management system, external affairs, exploration, environment and biodiversity, project, and mining operation.
• Provide services to all departments that need any map or drawing.
• Prepare metadata and other documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / ABILITIES :

• At least D3 degree in GIS, Geodetics, Mining, Geology Engineering
• Minimum 3 years experience in the position
• High proficiency of computer (Geo database, SQL Server, ArcGIS, ArcIMS)
• Good English skill both writing and speaking.
• Communication, Written, Oral, and Cartographic – The ability to convey GIS/spatial information to non-GIS/technical people.
• Analytical Skills – The ability to solve problems using the GIS suite of tools.

The Nature Conservancy is seeking an experienced conservation practitioner to be responsible for oversight and implementation of The Nature Conservancy’s Asia Pacific Applied Conservation Learning Network.

Qualifications:

• MBA/MS degree and 8+ years experience in conservation practice or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Significant experience working on knowledge management and/or networking initiatives either within or outside the conservation field and familiarity with current trends and practices in knowledge management.
• Experience working in the field in Indonesia and Melanesia preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Applied Conservation Learning Network Manager is a senior conservation position. S/he is responsible for oversight and implementation of The Nature Conservancy’s Asia Pacific Applied Conservation Learning Network. The purpose of the Applied Conservation Learning Network is to support The Nature Conservancy’s staff and partners as they work to foster sustainable, local conservation leadership at 12 sites in Melanesia and Indonesia. The Learning Network Manager will work with TNC staff who are implementing the transition of
conservation leadership at sites from TNC to local partners, to provide peer support, mentoring and training on the topics and skills that network members will need to succeed at this task. The Learning Network Manager will convene the Learning Network to provide peer learning opportunities, and will also work closely with individual site teams to
help them develop and meet their capacity-building and partnership goals
